♥ Review/Detailing of the Sailor Moon Stallion Reve/Lave ♥

Hello again~!
Today I shall do a review/detailing on my favorite item, the Stallion Reve. It is also called the Stallion Lave, though I'm not sure why. Reve means "dream" in French, or so I have been told, so obviously it corralates to Pegasus. This is the item used exclusively in the anime as a communication device between Chibiusa and Pegasus when he was not with her. I am sickly obsessed with their relationship, for I find it to be the cutest thing since kittens in mittens. So this review may be partially biased.
However, I know I am not alone in saying that this is one of the more beautiful pieces of Sailor Moon toy-dom. It's details are intricitely placed, and it's sounds are more complicated than most other toys. If I were to reccomend any one piece for someone to buy, it would be this one. Let me show you why:

Let's start with the box. My box looks like it's in nicer condition than it is in these photos, but don't let it fool you. It's not as if it's mangled to all hell or something, but it has a few dents and bumps. Still, it is a nicely packaged item and I think my box just accents the overall enjoyment of this piece.

Photobucket

There is a sticker here over Chibiusa's face. I don't know what it is for, but let me tell you, I don't very much like it xD. If anyone could tell me what it means, that'd be great.
This is obviously the front of the box. It has gorgeous pictures of the product as well as animated images of Chibiusa and Pegasus. There is description of the product all around the box. The IRS compatibility thing in the corner demonstrates it's ability to be activated from afar. Oh, marketing. How I love you so! If I were a child, I would so totally want this thing by looking at the box!

Photobucket

Side one shows how to turn it "on" (your Reve must be switched to OFF for this toy to work! ON means IRS activation!), put batteries in, ect. Another animated picture of Chibiusa is displayed.

Photobucket

Side two is much more exciting. It shows the Reve illuminated in the dark. Again, more appetizing photos for the young little childrens to beg for.

Photobucket

The back. It shows how the Reve looks lit up, and how the bottoms change color in accordance to whichever scout is perched upon it. It also has a line up of all the figures with their names displayed underneath. It probably speaks of the toy's ability to tell fortune as well, but hey, I can't read Japanese, man.

Moving on to bigger better things: The Reve itself.

Photobucket

Doesn't it just take your breath away? Excuse me for sounding like a fruit loop, but seriously, this thing is drop dead gorgeous. The way they used the colors and plating of the gold amazes me. And the detailing of the gems and stars is so nice! I love the design of the toy as well, but I suppose we should give credit to the animation people for thinking of it.

Photobucket

Close up of the top...

And the bottom. I love the base as well. It's the same symbol thing that's in the top left hand corner of the front of the box. This emblem graces the front of the SuperS baby doll boxes as well, and I believe other toys like the Kaleidoscope and the Twinkle Bell, ect. It has Pegasus on it. (.w.) Hur hur hur

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lid off. Here you can see all of the tiny, detailed figures. Pegasus resides in the center and Chibiusa and Sailor Moon stand in front of him. Venus and Mars stand at his left, and Mercury and Jupiter at his right. The light under Pegasus is white. The lights under Sailor Moon and Chibiusa are pink, and the scout's lights are the same color as their fukus. When you press on the Reve's sensors, Chibiusa says, "Onegai Pegasus! Protect people's dreams" or something like that. Then the lights go round and round, and finially, they land on a scout. Occasionally it will land on Chibiusa or Sailor Moon, but that rarely happens. After the person says their line, Pegasus says something to Sailor Moon, who says something back. Yay~ we're finished! This whole sequence is quite lengthy however, and is enjoyable to watch.

Photobucket

The back of the toy, with the lid removed. You can see where the batteries go in here. And perhaps you can see the on/off switch? The back of the toy is the only thing that is slightly dissapointing to me, but I can't complain. It's a toy. xD

So, overall, here's my rating:

Appearance: 6/5
Packaging: 4.5/5
Enjoyment: 6/5

When I say buy this thing, I mean it. I have a couple RPG toys, and a few dolls, but nothing gives me satisfaction like this piece. It is the center of my display for it is very athstetically pleasing. If the opportunity presents itself, do not hesitate to grab one of these for yourself. You won't regret it! (Especially because the price is sky rocketing!!).

I hope you enjoyed this review! ♥

Review/Detailing of the Korean Star Locket

Hello all who read this~!

So, today I will be doing a "review" on the Korean Sailor Moon Star Locket (Bandai, 1992/1995). My box says 1992, and the locket itself says 1995. This is the "mystery" version that can not be determined if the locket is REALLY Korean or if it is in fact Chinese. However, everyone I know with this mystery version all have thier lockets in a Korean box, therefore I believe it is in fact Korean. Just my thoughts however~

A bit about this locket: I got it for the amazing price of $70. It was pure luck, especially considering its condition. The locket works personally and had only been removed from the box once I believe. The locket itself had never been removed until I did so. (It had remained in its plastic incasing, but the insert had been pulled out previously for inspection before sale). I have made friends with the seller and we talk frequently ♥

Okay, here we go:

Box!

Photobucket

The front displays the Korean written title, as well as an image of Sailor Moon. There is a break in the packaging so the consumer can see that the locket is indeed a necklace, for the chain is shown.

Photobucket

Right side. Here you can see a few images from the anime, however, the animation looks a bit discolored. I think perhaps these images were created soley for the purpse of this box.

Photobucket

Left side. Cute image of Sailor Moon eating ice cream and Ami~! It also displays Sailor Moons info, for some reason xD. (Her birthdate, and I believe her bood type?).

Photobucket

Top. I actually find this to be my favorite part of the box. I don't really know why. :/ I like the image of Sailor Moon as well as the color choice and font choice. I think it really makes for an over-all friendly affect ♥

Photobucket

The back. I find the back quite boring compared to the front and sides. It almost seems like it doesn't match xD. The random picture of Luna is kind of amusing however. And I love how there are directions on how the locket works.

The Locket:

Photobucket

In the plastic covering. So shiny and beautiful! The inner most part is a crecsent with a circle in the middle, and the surrounding area is littered in small pink spots and glitter.

Photobucket

Plastic covering removed and locket closed. I will never completely close it again. xD It was so hard to get back open! I feared I would break it! I love how smooth the plastic is all around the edges of the locket. But you can't touch it too much, or else you'll get finger prints on it!

Photobucket

Back. Here you can see the winding key, as well as the licensing and the Korean sticker that has been partially removed. The key is easy to turn. I choose to turn it only a little bit, for it helps the tune play slower than it would if wound tightly. This way the tune actually sounds like Moonlight Dentetsu, not the song on speed.

Photobucket

Close up of the licensing. It says "Bandai Asia, 1995". Apparenly there are none that say "Bandai Korea" (as far as I know!), so it can be said that Korea also falls under Bandai Asia. A lot of people think Bandai Asia automatically means it is Chinese and therefore a crappy knock off, but I don't think that is the case here. However, there is always a possibility that this locket was replaced and it is Chinese. The world will never know! I do not care either way, for I love it all the same (and it's not like I over paid or something haha).

So:
Appearance: 5/5 The locket is very pleasing to the eye and touch. It looks well made and worth the money. The movement of the crescent is smooth and the tune is well done.

Packaging: 5/5. As stated, I really like this packaging. I have a thing for the older merchandise (first season, R, and S packaging is most appealing to me. I don't particularly like StarS packaging and SuperS is love-hate).

Quality: 5/5 Pretty much for the same reason as I wrote for appearance....xD

Overall Enjoyment: 5/5 I really understand why so many people hunt viciously for this item. It truly is a must-have for all Sailor Moon fans. It's symbolic meaning is great and it is a well made piece that can be enjoyed by anyone. ♥ Go buy it!

Review of the Super Chibiusa Nakayoshi Baby Doll

Hi again! :D
Okay, so, today I'm going to be doing a "review" of the Nakayoshi Super Sailor Chibiusa Babydoll. I've never done a review before, especially not of a Sailor Moon item. It's more of a detailed description of the doll, because I know a lot of people are interested in it because of it's rarity. I only know of 3 other people on the internet that own this doll; the owner of sailormoontoys.com, one person on smcollector, and one other from google. xD There are of course more, but I know access is limited to information about them. So...here you go!

I purchased this doll off of Livejournal on the community Serasell. I was fortunate enough to catch the post a minute after it was posted. The seller said to "make offers", so, in my frenzy, I sent her a ridiculous sum. I offered $200. She responded saying I hit it on the mark; that was EXACTLY what she wanted. She had paid $250 for the doll in the same condition it was currently in. So what I offered was ideal, and she took it. It was fortunate I was so impulsive, because within 10 minutes 3 more offers of the same price came in! I was VERY lucky to have got this doll, and I appreciate and love her so much!

Here are some pictures:

Photobucket

Full Body View. I have her on a stand to keep her up. The stand clamps around her neck, so her choker is not visable. But it's there.

Photobucket

Up close of her face. Her eyes have no scratches or anything. Her face has no marks or blemishes. The only flaw she has really is her hair rooting problems. As you can see, she has no bangs. Her hair is slowly becoming un-rooted, and I fear it will eventually all fall out. I am going to begin trying to restore her soon. I will try to re-root the pre-existing hair, and then I shall add in new bangs with extensions. I'm nervous to do the restoration, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

Photobucket

Close up of her dress. The detailing and choice of materials is really quite adorable. A lot of care went in to making these dolls, and the proof is in the pudding so to speak. xD

Photobucket

Her booties~ ♥ How cute are these!

Photobucket

I took a shot of her hair hoping that the arial view would better display her problems. I am lucky that her hair is not matted or has a nasty feel, but I am just overwhelmed with her hair doing what it is doing. I try not to move her too often to prevent further damage.

Photobucket

And last, the back view of the doll's dress. The bow is very large and proportionate to her head size. ♥ It obviously Velcros up the back.

The doll's middle is like a porcelain doll's; it has a squishy stuffed stomach from which the plastic limbs are attatched.

Appearance: I give the doll a 5/5. She is too cute to score lower, for one, and her sparkly-ness is definitely an eye catcher to anyone who walks in my room. She is very aesthetically pleasing.

Packaging: ---

Quality: 5/5. In comparison to some of the dolls I've seen, I have to say, this is one of the best.

Overall Enjoyment: 5/5. If you had the opportunity to ever get this item, I highly recommend purchasing. She is worth her price tag, in my opinion. ♥

So I hope you enjoyed reading this through! I hope to do more of these soon!

♥ Sailor Moon Collection! ♥

Hi there everyone! This is my first blog post~!
So, today I wanted to share my Sailor Moon collection! ♥
Here is the majority of my collection in one picture:

Photobucket

A little about my collection and my collecting:
I have been collecting Sailor Moon for a little over 8 months now. Since the end of January of '10. I encountered some toys at an anime convention I was attending, and I realized I really had a liking for them. I owned the North American Cutie Moon rod because I had picked it up at a garage sale in the late fall, so I suppose that was the true start of my collection. ♥
Anyways.
My collection really started to transform over this summer. In June, I had such a small amount of stuff, that it could barely all fill a table. I really got into it, and deep. I wanted so many things, I ended up selling a lot of things I already owned to get them. I encountered many EXTREMELY luck situations, and I'm thankful for them. Without them, I wouldn't have a lot of the items I have today!

I bought nearly everything in my collection with my own money. Being 16 years old and jobless, I'm actually fascinated with myself. Don't ask how I did it, because I really don't know. I guess I made a lot of online sales at the proper times!

I will be doing detailed reviews and in-depth talks about many of the items I have. Some of the items I will be detailing are;
The Stallion Reve
The Star Locket
The Super-Chibiusa Nakayoshi Baby Doll
The Starlights Beauty Change Doll Set.

If there is anything you would like to see, please feel free to message me. I will be glad to get anyone a closer look at anything! :D ♥

Thanks so much for viewing my first post! Please follow me for more updates! I would love to make new friends or acquaintances here!
