♥ Review/Detailing of the Sailor Moon Stallion Reve/Lave ♥

Hello again~!
Today I shall do a review/detailing on my favorite item, the Stallion Reve. It is also called the Stallion Lave, though I'm not sure why. Reve means "dream" in French, or so I have been told, so obviously it corralates to Pegasus. This is the item used exclusively in the anime as a communication device between Chibiusa and Pegasus when he was not with her. I am sickly obsessed with their relationship, for I find it to be the cutest thing since kittens in mittens. So this review may be partially biased.
However, I know I am not alone in saying that this is one of the more beautiful pieces of Sailor Moon toy-dom. It's details are intricitely placed, and it's sounds are more complicated than most other toys. If I were to reccomend any one piece for someone to buy, it would be this one. Let me show you why:

Let's start with the box. My box looks like it's in nicer condition than it is in these photos, but don't let it fool you. It's not as if it's mangled to all hell or something, but it has a few dents and bumps. Still, it is a nicely packaged item and I think my box just accents the overall enjoyment of this piece.

There is a sticker here over Chibiusa's face. I don't know what it is for, but let me tell you, I don't very much like it xD. If anyone could tell me what it means, that'd be great.
This is obviously the front of the box. It has gorgeous pictures of the product as well as animated images of Chibiusa and Pegasus. There is description of the product all around the box. The IRS compatibility thing in the corner demonstrates it's ability to be activated from afar. Oh, marketing. How I love you so! If I were a child, I would so totally want this thing by looking at the box!

Side one shows how to turn it "on" (your Reve must be switched to OFF for this toy to work! ON means IRS activation!), put batteries in, ect. Another animated picture of Chibiusa is displayed.

Side two is much more exciting. It shows the Reve illuminated in the dark. Again, more appetizing photos for the young little childrens to beg for.

The back. It shows how the Reve looks lit up, and how the bottoms change color in accordance to whichever scout is perched upon it. It also has a line up of all the figures with their names displayed underneath. It probably speaks of the toy's ability to tell fortune as well, but hey, I can't read Japanese, man.

Moving on to bigger better things: The Reve itself.

Doesn't it just take your breath away? Excuse me for sounding like a fruit loop, but seriously, this thing is drop dead gorgeous. The way they used the colors and plating of the gold amazes me. And the detailing of the gems and stars is so nice! I love the design of the toy as well, but I suppose we should give credit to the animation people for thinking of it.

And the bottom. I love the base as well. It's the same symbol thing that's in the top left hand corner of the front of the box. This emblem graces the front of the SuperS baby doll boxes as well, and I believe other toys like the Kaleidoscope and the Twinkle Bell, ect. It has Pegasus on it. (.w.) Hur hur hur

Lid off. Here you can see all of the tiny, detailed figures. Pegasus resides in the center and Chibiusa and Sailor Moon stand in front of him. Venus and Mars stand at his left, and Mercury and Jupiter at his right. The light under Pegasus is white. The lights under Sailor Moon and Chibiusa are pink, and the scout's lights are the same color as their fukus. When you press on the Reve's sensors, Chibiusa says, "Onegai Pegasus! Protect people's dreams" or something like that. Then the lights go round and round, and finially, they land on a scout. Occasionally it will land on Chibiusa or Sailor Moon, but that rarely happens. After the person says their line, Pegasus says something to Sailor Moon, who says something back. Yay~ we're finished! This whole sequence is quite lengthy however, and is enjoyable to watch.

The back of the toy, with the lid removed. You can see where the batteries go in here. And perhaps you can see the on/off switch? The back of the toy is the only thing that is slightly dissapointing to me, but I can't complain. It's a toy. xD

So, overall, here's my rating:

Appearance: 6/5
Packaging: 4.5/5
Enjoyment: 6/5

When I say buy this thing, I mean it. I have a couple RPG toys, and a few dolls, but nothing gives me satisfaction like this piece. It is the center of my display for it is very athstetically pleasing. If the opportunity presents itself, do not hesitate to grab one of these for yourself. You won't regret it! (Especially because the price is sky rocketing!!).

I hope you enjoyed this review! ♥
